Every Woman Should Count!
Breast cancer survivors and advocates from across the state gather to urge state leaders to restore and protect funding for Every Woman Counts, the vital safety-net breast cancer screening program for low-income, uninsured and underinsured women in California. Join Susan G. Komen for the Cure on the north steps at the Sacramento Capitol for a full slate of events on Monday, February 8. The day begins with a bake sale sponsored by the California Legislative Women’s Caucus at 11am and a news conference at 11:30am, and concludes with an evening rally at 5:45pm, during which the capitol will be lit pink and provide a haunting visual of what’s at stake.
